The Mohegan

We have had a long relationship with The Mohegan having dived her many times. The atmosphere of the wreck is unique and never fails to recall the terrible fate of those who were lost in her sinking and the bravery of the local people who tried to rescue everyone that they could. She went down on Oct 14th 1898 and on the centenary of her loss, local people from St Keverne plus the Rescue Services and divers held a memorial service on the beach at Porthoustock.

We dived the wreck earlier in the day and in the late afternoon placed a wreath on the memorial in St Keverne churchyard.
