Glenart Castle Memorial

Hartland Point, North Devon

A memorial to those who lost their lives in the sinking of the Glenart Castle was dedicated on 26th February 2002 at Hartland Point, North Devon.

The ceremony was conducted under the auspices of the Royal British Legion. Around 60 people attended, including the 3 great nieces of Katy Beaufoy, representatives of the Royal Navy, Clovelly RNLI, Hartland Primary School, members of Ilfracombe & North Devon SAC plus one visiting diver who has dived the wreck site.

Many thanks to all those who helped the project and donated money for the Memorial.
